UCAT™ Conventional Catalysts

Univation offers both conventional Ziegler-Natta catalysts and conventional chromium catalysts. Univation catalysts, known as UCAT™, are conventional catalysts featuring high productivity, an attractive cost per pound of PE and low residues – eliminating the need for ash removal.

UCAT™ conventional catalysts provide controllable polymer particle morphology to achieve good mixing characteristics, high bulk density and hot trouble-free hot conveying. They offer the right kinetic profile to achieve good operability and on-stream time, and to ensure uniform product quality. UCAT™ catalysts also allow good comonomer incorporation, providing control over density and molecular weight in the right balance of processability and product properties.
